Secretary-General
Sameeksha Arutla
Leading us is a junior from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, majoring in International Affairs and International Business with a minor in Economics. She joined the GWMUN travel team during her freshman year and is also involved in the Pre-Law Student Association and an international affairs journal at GW. Outside of academics, Sameeksha enjoys spending time with friends, rehearsing dance and music, and exploring Washington, D.C. She is incredibly excited to help make GWCIA XXXI an amazing experience for everyone involved.


Chief of Staff
Daniel Catapang
Daniel is a senior from Bay Point, California, studying International Affairs and Asian Studies with a minor in History. He has been involved in Model UN since high school and currently competes on GW’s Model UN Travel Team, where he enjoys the fast-paced challenges of crisis simulations. Previously, Daniel served as the Under-Secretary-General of Crisis for GWCIA XXXI and is excited to continue contributing to GWCIA during his final year at GW. Outside of MUN, you can find him attempting to play the drums, rooting for the San Francisco 49ers and the Ohio State Buckeyes, and talking about the Philippines whenever he gets the chance.


Director of Finance
Kathleen Evans
Kathleen Evans is a junior from Fort Worth, Texas, majoring in International Affairs and History with a minor in Public Health. She joined GWMUN in the spring of her freshman year and later chaired the Bubonic Plague committee at GWCIA 30. On campus, Kathleen is actively involved in the Sigma Iota Rho honor society, GW Students for OneHealth, and Greek life. In her free time, she enjoys reading, visiting museums, and exploring Washington, DC’s coffee shop scene. She is looking forward to taking on a larger role in GWCIA and helping facilitate a fun and engaging conference.

Reese Theobald
Reese is a sophomore from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, studying International Affairs with minors in Korean and Economics. She is a member of the GW Model UN travel team and serves as the Assistant Director of Communications for the Residence Hall Association, where she enjoys engaging with the campus community. Outside of her academic and extracurricular commitments, Reese loves exploring coffee shops around DC and playing card games with her roommates. Her favorite Model UN memory is getting to pie her chair in the face at the end of a conference. Reese can’t wait for GWCIA XXXI and hopes to see many incredible delegates!

Maya DeAndrea
Maya DeAndrea is a sophomore from Haddon Heights, New Jersey, studying International Affairs and Economics with minors in Spanish and Sustainability. She is passionate about exploring the intersection of global policy, economic systems, and sustainable development. At GW, Maya is an active member of the Model UN travel team, where she enjoys engaging in debate and diplomacy, and she also plays club pickleball. In her free time, she values staying active and connecting with others. Maya is excited to meet everyone and watch GWCIA come to life!
Executive Director
Devin Cox
Devin is a junior from Framingham, Massachusetts, majoring in International Affairs with a concentration in Security Policy and a minor in History. He currently serves as the Executive Director for GWCIA XXXI, having previously been the Director of Operations for GWIA 30, and has chaired and vice-chaired for both GWCIA and WAMUNC. Devin is also the Vice President of Philanthropy for the Sigma Iota Rho Honor Society and competes regularly on the GWMUN travel team, where he enjoys both crisis committees and occasionally double delving on the General Assembly circuit. In his free time, Devin plays guitar in a metalcore band, reads science fiction, cheers on Bay Area sports teams, and attends hardcore shows around DC.
Director of Operations
Meghan Zimmerman
Meghan is a sophomore from Charleston, South Carolina, majoring in International Affairs and Economics. She began competing in Model UN in high school and joined the GWMUN travel team during her first year of college, where she developed a strong passion for diplomacy, collaboration, and global problem-solving. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and traveling to new places. Meghan is excited to serve as Director of Operations for GWCIA XXXI and looks forward to helping create a meaningful conference for all participants.
Director of Conference Relations
Yuktha Gowda
Yuktha is a junior from Troy, Michigan, majoring in International Affairs and Economics with minors in Spanish and Political Science. She is a member of GW’s Model UN travel team and has been competing in Model UN since sixth grade, bringing years of experience and enthusiasm to the activity. Beyond her academic and MUN commitments, Yuktha enjoys going to concerts and the movies, exploring new cafés around the city, and working her way through a never-ending stack of books she hopes to read. She is looking forward to meeting everyone at GWCIA XXXI in December!

Marcela Pierre
Marcela is a sophomore from Ellicott City, Maryland, studying Information Systems. She has been involved in Model UN since high school and enjoys connecting with delegates from a wide range of backgrounds and perspectives. Outside of MUN, Marcela loves nature photography, spending time with friends and family, and collecting perfumes. She is excited to meet everyone and see the creative solutions developed for regional bodies at GWCIA XXXI.

Andrew Graves
Andrew is a junior from Allentown, Pennsylvania, studying International Affairs and Political Science with a focus on Public Policy. He has been involved in Model UN since his freshman year of high school and now competes on GW’s Model UN travel team, where he values the strong sense of community the activity fosters. Andrew is excited to help share that community with others through GWCIA. Outside of MUN, you can find him visiting the zoo to look at the monkeys, spending a little too much money at the movies, learning new languages, and keeping up with people on LinkedIn.
