Meet The Secretariat

Secretary-General

Cyrena  Kokolis

Cyrena is a junior in the Elliott School of International Affairs, majoring in International Affairs with a concentration in Security Policy and a minor in Geographic Information Systems. This is her third year of involvement with GWCIA and her second year on secretariat, having served as Under-Secretary-General of Historical and Specialized Bodies for GWCIA XXIV. Having started her Model UN career in middle school herself, Cyrena has a personal passion for giving GWCIA delegates a chance to learn, grow, and find their voices through MUN. She is originally from Voorhees, NJ, and outside of MUN she enjoys composing music for and performing with her a cappella group, the GW Pitches. Cyrena is honored to lead this year's conference and is looking forward to an amazing GWCIA XXV!

Chief of Staff

Eileen Cunha

Eileen is a Sophomore at the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences majoring in History with a concentration in Early American and 19th Century American Studies and a minor in Spanish. She is from South Jersey but she loves getting to live in Washington D.C! In addition to competing on GW’s Model UN team she is a member of Pi Beta Phi, University Singers Choir, and Campus YMCA Congress (a mock-government organization). In her free time she enjoys exploring D.C with friends to find the city’s best coffee shops, museums, and dogs! She is so excited to be Chief of Staff of GWCIA and can’t wait for an amazing conference!

Director of Operations

Harita Iswara

Harita is a junior at the George Washington University studying International Affairs with a concentration in conflict resolution, and minoring in Arabic. She has served as a vice-chair for WAMUNC and chaired the Arab League regional body at GWCIA XXIV. She has participated in MUN since her sophomore year of high school, and enjoys working with students to tackle international issues. She is from St. Mary's, Maryland, and loves art, politics, and service.  

Under Secretary-General of International Bodies

Ananya Sampath

Ananya Sampath will be serving as the Under-Secretary-General for International Bodies for GWCIAXXV. She is a sophomore studying International Affairs at the Elliott School with a minor in English. During GWCIAXXIV she served as a vice-chair in the United Nations Development Program committee. In addition to GWCIA, Ananya is also an assistant head delegate on the GW Model United Nations team this year and has been participating in Model UN since high school.

 

Ananya is originally from Montgomery, New Jersey, and she spends her free time reading, running, and watching tennis. She is very excited to work with the International Bodies committees and to see what GWCIAXXV has in store!

Under Secretary-General of Historic and Specialized Committees

Natalia Feinberg

Natalia Feinberg is a sophomore in the Elliott School of International Affairs concentrating in International Development and a minoring in Political Science. She is the Under-Secretary-General of Historical and Specialized Committees.

Natalia joined the Model UN team her freshman year. She has attended numerous conferences and was a general staffer for last year’s GWCIA. She is looking forward to working with her chairs to create an amazing conference. A fun fact about her is that she speaks Russian, Belarusian, and French.

Executive Director

Yasmine Sadoudi

Yasmine Sadoudi is a junior studying International Affairs and French at GW’s Elliott School. She hails from Southern California and mainly studies Middle Eastern conflict resolution and the implications of environmental sustainability on regional security relations. She currently serves as Deputy Director of Simulations for GW Strategic Crisis Simulations and a research assistant for the Sigur Center for Asian Studies. In her spare time, she enjoys figure skating, reading, and planning her retirement on the Cote D'Azur following an exciting pursuit of world domination. She is honored to serve as the Executive Director this year and looks forward to seeing the delegates in action again.

Director of Finance

Mitali Thepade

Mitali Thepade is a sophomore at the George Washington University - School of Business studying International Business and Innovation and Entrepreneurship with a minor in Psychology. 

She is from the historical city of Pune in India and wants to start her own business.  

Apart from everything there is to do with regards to Model UN, she enjoys boxing, photography, and reading. 

She looks forward to making sure that GWCIA XXV is a fun and memorable experience for the delegates.

Director of Conference Relations

Victoria Huang

Victoria Huang is the Director of Conference Relations for GWCIA XXV. She is a junior in the Elliott School of International Affairs with a concentration in Security Policy and a minor in Computer Science. On top of being an active member of GW’s collegiate Model UN team, she has also served in previous GWCIAs as a vice chair and chair.

Born and raised in Boston, she revels in the bragging rights offered by the many sports championships that her home teams have garnered, though she is growing to love D.C. as her second home on the East Coast. In her free time, she enjoys Spanish literature, cooking, and racking up a mean coupon game at CVS. She is looking forward to an amazing GWCIA XXV! 

Under Secretary-General of Regional Bodies

Tommy Litchfield

My name is Tommy Litchfield and I'm excited to serve as the USG for regional bodies at GWCIA XXV! I'm a sophomore at the Elliott School studying international affairs. When I'm not at GW I'm usually either home in North Carolina or traveling to other universities with our Model UN travel team. I can't wait to see you all at conference!

Rob Windsor

Hi everyone! My name is Rob and I’m a senior studying International Economics. I’ve been doing Model UN for 8 years and have been a member of GW’s Model UN team for 4 years. This is my fourth year staffing GWCIA  and it’s already shaping up to be the best yet. Outside of MUN, I love exploring DC and trying as many new things as I can. I love the uniqueness of crisis committees and all the different ways they can pan out, so I’m thrilled to see what comes out of our fantastic committees this year.
